Despite everything, Ginger finds herself falling in love with more than her Aunt Judith and the family polo lifestyle, causing her to feel vulnerable for the first time. Underneath her rough exterior hides a tender, educated, very sensitive young woman, who never had the chance to reveal her true self, because of having to look after her gambling clown pa, since her mother passed away. What she discovers in the process is an unhappy family entrapped in a vicious banking empire takeover from her fathers longtime polo team nemesis that makes the mistake of threatening her. Through the family trauma, Ginger learns that her father sacrificed his upbringing by running away to become a clown - a childhood dream - so that Judith could finally make up her mind to which twin brother she loved. But turns out to go much deeper than that, spanning generations of hatred between banking empires. This truth has left a hole in the hearts of everyone involved because he just disappeared one stormy night until the day before he passed away. However, Gingers grandfather who looked for her pa the rest of his life always believed his runaway clown son would return some day. So, to Gingers uncles dismay, left him half of everything. In the end, Ginger must make the final polo shot to win the Rothschild family their first One Lucky Pony trophy and save the family fortune, or lose everything, including the love she finds.
